Stay with your club
BBEA is intentionally club-friendly. Players stay with their home clubs and continue to play their regular season there.
BBEA is an additional development environment for selected players — not a replacement for their home club.

Berlin Basketball Entwicklungs Akademie is an Elite Development Academy for ambitious players born in 2013. Players stay with their home clubs and receive an additional environment for individual development, team concepts, international games, and modern basketball experience. BBEA does not replace club basketball. The academy adds a selected training group, clear development principles, and additional competition opportunities.
BBEA is intentionally club-friendly. Players stay with their home clubs and continue to play their regular season there.
Once per week, ambitious players train together on skills, decisions, team play, and defensive intensity.
Through CEYBL Boys U14, 3x3 tournaments, and additional games, players gain experience beyond the regular Berlin competition environment.
BBEA sees itself as a partner to Berlin basketball clubs. Players bring their additional academy experience back into their teams.
BBEA is planning one additional training session per week. The focus is individual development, decision-making, modern offense, off-ball movement, defensive stability, and team culture.
Attendance is optional, but academy players are strongly encouraged to attend at least two BBEA trainings per month so that development and team identity can grow consistently.
A note on cost
Weekly BBEA training is currently planned to be free of charge. This is a personal investment and contribution from the organization into the development of the players. Our goal is to keep this model in place as long as possible. Depending on gym costs, organization, and the further development of the academy, adjustments may become necessary in the future.
BBEA is for ambitious boys born in 2013 who already play club basketball and want to be challenged further. We are looking for players who want to learn, are reliable, want to build strong training habits, and are ready to take responsibility in a high-level group.
BBEA will compete in CEYBL Boys U14 during the 2026/27 season. This gives players the opportunity to play international opponents, experience different basketball styles, and gain valuable travel and tournament experience.
CEYBL is the core international competition pathway for BBEA in the 2026/27 season.
Exact dates, host cities, and further organizational details will be communicated once finally confirmed.

BBEA develops players not only through systems, but through decisions, habits, and responsibility. The goal is modern, fast, team-oriented basketball.
Ball handling, finishing, shooting, footwork, and 1-on-1 situations are developed consistently.
Players learn to read space, time cuts, maintain spacing, and become dangerous without the ball.
BBEA promotes a culture where the right pass, the next decision, and trust in teammates are central.
Players should understand multiple roles and should not be reduced to one position too early.
Strong defense, communication, effort, and team spirit are not optional — they are part of the academy identity.
BBEA does not see 3x3 as a side program, but as an important development step. In 3x3, players must decide faster, communicate better, take responsibility, and stay active in every possession.
The goal is for every BBEA player to participate in at least two official FIBA 3x3 tournaments during the season. These tournaments and trips are organized separately; depending on the event, BBEA aims to travel with two to three teams.
3x3 tournaments and trips are not automatically included in the CEYBL package and may be organized and charged separately.
BBEA wants to communicate costs transparently. The following amounts refer to the CEYBL 2026/27 package and the official team gear.
Due to the rounded monthly rate, this totals 1,080€. We show this difference transparently on purpose.
The gear is personalized with BBEA branding, player name, and number, and remains the personal property of the player.
3x3 tournaments, optional trips, camps, additional tournaments, or extra events may be organized and charged separately.
